I flew into New York City on business for Ellen Patrick aka The Domino Lady. Last May in Washington D.C. I met The Shadow in my Hotel room the day before my Uncle John funeral.The reason I'm working a case with the Black Bat.
I'm flying solo in the city. Ellen booked my flight and Hotel for me. Ellen and Jeannie attending a charity event for Owen Patrick Memorial Foundation on January 4. I arrived at my hotel at 3 pm. I make a phone call to one of Black Bat agents. At 5 pm I had dinner at the Cobalt Club with Anthony Quinn. At 9 pm I join the Black Bat and his allies to beat up Mob enforcer in the Battery area of NYC. I show him the note card that The Shadow left me. He said to me The Shadow is still a good guy but he is the shoot them dead type. The next day I called Burbank to set a meeting with The Shadow that night. I was asked to have dinner with Margo Lane. One of best Lady agent in the Shadow's organization.I arrived thirty minutes before our dinner meeting at Cobalt Club.Ms. Lane was on time. We ate and drink for an hour.Margo gave instruction for the rest of the night. I return to my Hotel room to get ready to meet the Shadow at his lair .at 8:30 I place a phone call to the sunrise cab company and asks for Moses Shrevnitz aka Shrevvy. 9 o'clock a cab pulled up to my location .Moe roll down his window he spoke hey mac are you, Mr. Waltman. The Shadow needs to talk to you in his Secret Sanctum. Hey, mac I'm posted to blindfold you. I told Moe I understand. Moe led to back seat of the Cab. So mac is it true that you work for the Domino Lady. I replied yes it's trued but I'm her full partner. Moe ask me how it's working for Dane like the Domino Lady .I fired back at Moe to say The Domino lady is most Feared Woman of all of California.As Moe drove to the Secret Sanctum.Moe asks me what I do for a living. I told him I was private eye during the day and Domino's right-hand man at night. The boss told me that Domino lady is a classy lady. I reply The Domino lady is a smart and beautiful lady. When I hear the cab stop and Moe open my door, Moe Said to The Shadow the code phrase. The sun is shining and the Shadow replied but ice is slippery. The shadow removes the blindfold and orders me to follow to two high back chair by a fireplace. The Shadow spoke I know how you are here. He told me that he saved my Uncle John life from criminal in Washington D.C. The Shadow knew what was on my mind. He was giving the Domino Lady an Olive Branch and I want you to be my contact agent in L.A. I told already an agent for the Domino Lady.The Shadow corrected me. You are more just an agent you are her best friend and more. The Shadow told me he knew what I wanted to ask him.No, Mr. Waltman, I will not share the secret of how to cloud men's mind but I will show how to use hypnosis to interrogate your enemy. The shadow knew I dress like him when I place myself in the Red Shade costume. Mr. Waltman, you not me you swore to don't to kill in cold blood.
I saw in our mind, Mr. Waltman. You help the Domino Lady because you are her friend and lover.You are her avatar of justice. Mr. Waltman your heart and soul is not blackened like mine. Your heart is full of love for two ladies, The Domino Lady and Black Lace. You are her voice of reason. For an hour learn how to be better in hypnosis. After I left the Secret Sanctum, Miss Lane blindfold me and take me back to my hotel. Before I left the Margo Lane's car. She gave me a letter to give to my boss when i return to L.A the next day

October 17, 1940 With Ellen Patrick out of town for next 4 day, she has business affair for the Owen Patrick charity Foundation. And Miss lace busy in East L.A battle the gangster. I flying solo in this case. Mrs. Diana Weatherbes daughter been missing for ten days and the trail led me to abandoned factory but nobody and no evidence of foul play. I drove back to my office called Diana Weatherbes to call her daughter call, no luck. Not even any eyewitness of carol Weatherbes car. Carol's Boyfriend claims they were posted go to a dinner on September 30 around 7pm. I get very frustrated with this case . I  go over the fact until I'm turning blue in the face. the was getting late was 9pm when I hear my phone rung the very familiar voice of Miss lace report back to me she is ok for the night and we talk for ten minutes.we phone hangs up by saying love, you Jason. October 2, 1940

October 2,1940 Domino lady is still mad me for my stunt in Mexico. My punishment was going to her laboratory Helper. Ellen needed to make more Knockout Serum at her Hideaway. She picks me at noon at my apartment. We barely talked in her car. First, we pick up some lunch on the way. At 1 pm we arrived at the Hideaway . I helped Ellen found all the chemical step by step I gave my boss and special friend all my full attention for two hour, It was strange that She wasn't flirting and teasing. She gave me a smile after we made 20 needles of her special knockout serum. Afterword we work on our Judo forms, Ellen doesn't hold back and came at me with full force. I block most of her throws and kick. She was getting happier with me after our workout. She was feeling better with me. She flirted with by saying how hard are you going to get when I get under cover tonight lover boy
